Alsatian Wines from
Our Alsatian wines
The Alsatian vineyards is made up of 7 noble varieties: such as the Gewurztramier, Riesling, Muscat, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Sylvaner and Pinot Noir, Thanks to which, we produce our PDO Alsace, Crément (sparkling wine) of Alsace, Grands Crus, Late harvest wines and selection of noble berries (SGN). To this, the Chardonay is added for the elaboration of créments (sparkling wines) and the Chasselas.
Our Alsatian White Wines
The PDO Alsatian white wines are made with the Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Muscat, Sylvaner, Gewurztraminer et Chasselas berries. For each occasion, each meal, each character, their white from Alsace!
Our Alsatian red and rosé wines
The red AOC Alsatian wines are exclusively produced from Pinot Noir grapes. While all of Alsace produces Pinot Noir, 2 towns are distinguished by the quality of their red wines, giving them the appellation: Saint Hippolyte Red and Ottrott Red.
In Saint Hippolyte, the appellation red is exclusively harvested on the hilltops of the town at the foot of the Haut-Koenigsbourg castle with the requirement to have a low turnover in order to bring out more the typical fruity Pinot noir grape.
Our Reds are harvested by hand, destemmed upon their arrival at the vineyard and put into the maceration tank for a duration of 8 to 15 days depending upon the years. At the beginning of the maceration, we do a process called saignée which consists of extracted the lightly colored juice which becomes our Alsatian Rosé, letting the rest to become a more concentrated red wine. After this, a part of our Reds will be matured in a stainless steel tank and the other in oak cask.
Our Alsatian Sparkling Wines (Créments)
The Alsatian sparkling wine is produced in the same way as the French Champagne. What differentiates it from a French Champagne are the grapes it is made from. In Alsace, we can elaborate our sparkling wines with Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
